Going down a slide with a young child in your lap puts them in danger. Their little feet can get caught on the way down as your weight keeps pushing forward, which causes their legs to twist. Experts who studied injury data advise against letting kids go down a slide with you, because the majority of sliding-on-lap injuries for children under 6 are fractures of the lower leg.
