Japanese are working on developing technology to transmit electricity wirelessly. Their goal is to transmit energy from orbiting solar panels to Earth by microwave/laser. They have successfully transmitted 10 kw of energy 500 meters away.

After 1250 gallons of mayonnaise went bad at Michigan State University in 2016, the school’s Sustainability Officer used an anaerobic digester to turn it into energy and power part of the campus.
