There is an Indian village named “Piplantri,” which celebrates the birth of every girl child by planting 111 trees.

The word “girl” was originally a gender-neutral term for a child. Boys were called “knave girls,” and girls were called “gay girls.”

The four girls in this picture are two sets of twins – two are black, & two are white, but they all have the same parents & share the exact same genes.

The Beastie Boys won a lawsuit against a company for the unauthorized use of their song “Girls” and had the $1 Million settlement donated to a charity supporting education for girls.
