A 9,000-year-old skeleton was found inside a cave Cheddar, England, and was nicknamed “Cheddar Man.” His DNA was tested, and it was concluded that a retired history teacher living nearby was a direct descendant of Cheddar Man.

The reason why we view neanderthals as hunched over and degenerate is that the first skeleton to be found was arthritic.

In Ireland in 2015, a skeleton was found in the roots of a tree that had blown over during a storm. It was the skeleton of a young man buried around 1200 CE. His bones showed injuries from a sharp blade, and he had been buried in a shallow grave. His remains became tangled in the tree’s roots as it grew.

A 2,000-year-old Thracian chariot with horse skeletons was found in Bulgaria.
